Thom Coats has spent his entire career helping people become more confident communicators and more effective professionals. As the Director of the Center for Professional Selling at Middle Tennessee State University, Thom stands at the forefront of modern sales education — preparing students to be productive, value‑driven contributors from day one.
With more than 25 years of new business development experience, Thom has held roles ranging from sales representative and district manager to Vice President of Sales for organizations such as Century II, Paychex, and NFIB. His career is grounded in real‑world selling, leadership, and the practical communication skills that drive business success.
Thom brings that same experience to C|SUITE, where he trains individuals, teams, and organizations in the art of human‑centered selling, professional branding, and confident communication.

Thom and his wife have three sons, three daughters‑in‑law, and seven grandchildren — the joy of his life.
